Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work of this contract includes, but is not limited to the following: Base Bid: 300 Building: • Removal and replacement of storefronts, entry Doors, display cases, and windows in punched masonry openings with thermally broken, aluminum framed windows, storefronts, and doors with insulating glass panels including: o Partial demolition and re-installation or replacement of construction adjacent to storefronts, entry Doors, display cases, and windows in punched masonry including but not necessarily limited to carpeting; acoustical hung ceilings; stone window sills; and vertical blinds. o Partial demolition and replacement of interior light gage metal framing and gypsum wall board partitions including finishing and painting and installation of new base cove moldings to match existing. o Cleaning and painting of existing steel window lintels. o Painting of existing painted brick and CMU jambs to match existing. o Installation of new interior window sills. o Removal of existing plywood cladding and restoration of underlying brick masonry. o Supplemental framing for attachment of the new storefront window heads. o Removal and resetting of existing adjacent doors and storefront systems to remain. 21 Spring Lane - Advanced Manufacturing Technologies Center (AMTC): • Remove clearstory bands of windows between the top of the masonry wall and the underside of the roof deck at the east elevation and from column lines C to J on the north and south elevations. Replace with thermally broken, aluminum framed clearstory bands of windows with insulating glass panels including: o Install new aluminum spandrel panels at all exposed beams between strip windows on north and south facades. Cope around beam and provide sheet metal closures at cut edges to receive sealant joint extents of new panel. o Cleaning and painting of exposed ends of structural steel beams that penetrate the exterior walls. o Cleaning and painting of existing wood panels above clearstory bands of windows. o Removal and re-setting of displaced CMU block at the top of the CMU wall and resecurement of steel bracing member where identified on drawings. o Parging and repainting interior CMU window sills. • Removal and replacement of windows in punched openings in the exterior masonry walls, where indicated on drawings, with thermally broken, aluminum framed windows with insulating glass panels and extruded aluminum sills at the exterior including: o Parging and repainting CMU sills, jambs, and heads of the masonry opening to match existing. o Cleaning and painting of existing steel window lintels. o Repainting of existing exterior brick sills, jambs, and heads of the masonry opening to match existing painted brick. Alternate #1: 21 Spring Lane - Advanced Manufacturing Technologies Center (AMTC): • Removal and replacement of exterior windows and exposed aggregate spandrel panels in the office portion of the building with thermally broken, aluminum framed windows with insulating glass vision panels and insulated aluminum spandrel panels set into existing wood framed exterior wall construction including: o Partial demolition and replacement of interior light gage metal framing and gypsum wall board partitions, including finishing and painting and installation of new base cove moldings to match existing. o Supplemental framing for attachment of the new window in existing wood framed openings.
