Specifications include, but are not limited to: NYPA and Canals (NYPA) is requesting a five-year service value contract (from 10/1/2024-9/30/2029) for the maintenance and purchase of AED equipment and supplies. Currently NYPA utilizes 147 AEDs (120 Cardiac Science G3s (various models) and 27 Cardiac Science G5s) located at its facilities across NYS. Currently Canals utilizes 198 Zoll AED plus, with 163 being automatic, located at its facilities across NYS. The agreement will include the following scope of work: • Medical Direction coverage between NYPA and our Emergency HealthCare Provider (EHCP) as required by New York State (NYS) Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) Program • Filing of required document: Notice of Intent and Collaborative Agreement with the appropriate Regional Medical Emergency Services Council (REMSCO) as required by State Law • Filing of required documentation of AED usage with the appropriate REMSCO • Annual inspections of AEDs using the manufacturer's software to get programming information, actual battery percentage and a written report. • Loaner AED of equal make/model for any AED used in a rescue, recalled, or found to be defective. • Web-based tracking of inspections & expiration due dates for batteries and pads • Procurement of new AEDs as needed with the desire to maintain manufacturer continuity at the deployment location. • Replacement of AEDs approaching their end of service life with the desire to maintain manufacturer continuity at the deployment location. • Replacement of expired parts (pads and batteries) during inspection • Replacement of expired parts (pads and batteries) that expire between inspections.
