Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Marietta wishes to renovate approximately 1000’ of trail located at Merritt Park. The project will include the selective removal of the existing asphalt trail and the installation of a new 6’ wide concrete trail overtop of the existing trail. The project bid also includes the modification of 2 existing yard drains and the installation of erosion control equipment as required. Products 1. The contractor shall furnish all the materials called for in the plans 2. GAB subbase material, concrete, reinforcing and form release agents shall meet GDOT specification unless otherwise noted. 3. Geotextile material shall be a woven polypropylene fabric with a 600lb tensile strength. Execution 1. The contractor shall install erosion control equipment as necessary prior to work. 2. Removal and dispose existing asphalt pavement (off site). 3. Any roots encountered will be cut back and removed within 12” of the proposed edge of pavement. This operation will be completed under the supervision of the City Arborist. 4. In areas where the existing pavement has been removed, the subgrade shall be consolidated and compacted prior to the placement of concrete. Call for inspection by City representative prior to pouring all. 5. Place reinforcing as specified. Call for inspection by City representative prior to pouring concrete. 6. Pour and finish concrete to the elevation agreed upon. 7. Finish as noted. 8. The contractor shall restrict work area, staging and storage to the areas agreed to prior to the start of the work. Any damage to the adjacent property will be the contractor’s responsibility. Clean-up and Maintenance 1. The Contractor is responsible for cleanup of all areas of the work site as well as staging areas and work yards. The work area shall be stabilized following best management practices. The contractor shall not dispose of any materials on site.
