Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Scranton requires the services of a qualified firm or individual consultant experienced in city planning and zoning to primarily assist the City’s Zoning Officer in review of the zoning aspects of zoning permit applications, zoning variance applications, subdivisions and land development plans. Consultant will also assist the Zoning Officer is evaluation of potential zoning violations and assist in preparing zoning violation notices. The consultant may also assist the City Planner on an as needed basis in the review of planning aspects of land development and subdivision submissions, park and infrastructure projects, flood plain permit and variance applications and new utility occupancy of city right of way. The consulting services are expected to be on an as needed basis and compensated hourly. For purposes of estimating time commitment and input into the required price proposal assume 40 hours per month of effort by a senior planning and zoning consultant.
