Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Christiansburg, Virginia (hereafter referred to as the “Town”) invites qualified firms (hereafter referred to as “Contractor”) to provide proposals for the design and installation of a public address and paging system for Christiansburg Huckleberry Park, a newly opened 63-acre park complex. Proposers must be able to complete the installation by June 30, 2024. SECTION III STATEMENT OF NEED The Contractor will provide the following requirements at a minimum: Hilltop Pavilion: 1. Need a small, weather resistant speaker system under eaves in the hilltop pavilion to facilitate local playback and speech reinforcement during special events. Speaker system may be either 70V or low impedance. This shall be a standalone public address system and does not require the ability to be controlled from or receive input from other DSP processors throughout the site. 2. Amplifier(s) for the hilltop pavilion shall be fed by a suitable DSP processor and include a local control panel of adjusting output volume level and input gain control for local microphone and line inputs. Control interface may be located within rack cabinet or externally but will require a weatherproof solution if located on exterior of pavilion. If control interface is accessible to the public, password protection is required. 3. Need (2) local microphone inputs and (2) local line inputs to DSP processor to facilitate special events. These shall be in a suitable, outdoor-rated enclosure which is mounted under the eaves at the rear of the pavilion. 4. Need weatherproof, surface-mounted rack cabinet enclosure with self-contained ventilation system to house DSP processor and amplifiers. Rack cabinet to be located on building exterior.
