Specifications include, but are not limited to: Garnet Guide is USC’s major recruiting tool. Only the highest quality, prepress, printing and finishing will be accepted. The University will designate a Contracting Officer Representative for this solicitation. The Contractor shall conduct day-to-day business pertaining to the Garnet Guide 2024 with the Contracting Officer Representative. The Contractor shall provide emergency phone numbers for the Contracting Officer Representative. i. Contractor Service Representatives A. The Contractor shall ensure that one (1) Primary Contractor Service Representative and one (1) Alternate Contractor Service Representative are always assigned to the University during the life of the resulting contract. B. The Contractor Service Representative shall be a full-time employee of the Contractor. C. The Contractor Service Representative shall be familiar with all aspects of printing services. ii. Contractor Service Level A. Contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies, materials, equipment insurance, permits, and licenses and/or any special equipment/material needed to provide. B. Contractor shall provide best-faith efforts to ensure the accuracy of all editorial content and will call errors to Contracting Officer Representative’s attention prior to publication. C. Contractor shall secure approvals of and proofreading for all changes. D. Contractor is responsible for reviewing all design work, printing, and binding of the Garnet Guide to meet the deadline. E. Contractor will need to call designated point of contact within 48 hours prior to delivery for instructions. The final product will be delivered to Campus Village Building Four (4) 1531 Whaley Street Columbia, SC 29208 upon completion. F. Contractor must ensure that color match prints match the samples provided of previous year’s Garnet Guide. The final product must match the approved color match prints. Color registration needs to be of superior quality. Final product must be void of all trash and imperfect or ragged trim and allowed proper drying time to eliminate ink rub off/offset. Perfect binding must be professionally completed without evidence of glue or cracking. All copies, proof, etc. must be picked up and delivered in person by the contractor’s representative. G. Contractor must label the exterior of each box with name of job and quantity in each box. Boxes must be able to withstand shipping and stacking without crushing. Boxes shall not weigh more than twenty-five (25) pounds and should not be stacked to a height on the pallet that causes them to crush. All shipments must provide adequate protection to ensure all products are usable when they arrive.
