Specifications include, but are not limited to: Storden 21-1 Native Prairie Bank Easement (NPB) Mulching and Mowing Brush (25.5 acres) • Conduct Brush mowing on up to 25.4 acres at the Storden 21-1 NPB • Mulch or mow all brush and small trees within the areas outlined on the attached maps. All standing woody vegetation will be mulched or mowed to within 4 inches of ground level. • Brush mowing must be completed by June 15, 2024 • The basal diameter of brush is predominantly less than 2 inches. Stem densities vary greatly across the site. A few small areas (less than 1 acre) may have brush with stem basal diameters up to 4 inches. • Equipment required will consist of a tracked skid steer or tracked crawler with a minimum 95 gross engine horsepower (manufacturer’s rating) and a minimum hydraulic flow of 35.0 gallon per minute (gpm). • A drum style mower is recommended. • Debris will be scattered and debris piles will not be allowed. • Work will be conducted during the growing season. The contractor must operate equipment in a manner that minimizes rutting or significant ground disturbance as determined by the Project Supervisor. • Mowing may be required in areas with steep slopes. • Mulching and mowing operations must be completed by June 15, 2024.
