Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City is soliciting an organization to provide management services that will maintain the performance value of the MAN and LANs for the City. The expected outcomes of the implementation are: • Manage a 24/7/365 Network Operations Center supporting the City’s MAN and LANs. • Support the MAN and LANs by monitoring performance of the network and reporting any performance issue to Technology Solutions and third-party support teams. Scope of Service: 1. The contractor will be required to provide comprehensive monitoring and performance management services to align with the specified design. These services may include monitoring, planning, and performance management, reporting including monthly performance metrics, documentation updates, communication and coordination with other parties involved in the overall support of the network. The selected contractors must be willing to work in a cooperative manner with the City of Durham staff and other parties working on behalf of the City of Durham. 2. The scope of this project will include performance management services that will maintain performance of the network cable plant, backbone equipment, and performance value of City’s MAN and LANs. 3. The contractor will be expected to provide experienced and certified staff with adequate expertise in performance management services including monitoring for up-and-down and monitoring bandwidth utilization and monitoring device performance notifications.
