Specifications include, but are not limited to: Primary objective: • Identify cable plant infrastructure or network hardware deficiencies at the identified City facilities that would impede reaching the expectations of up to 1Gb download speeds to each connected endpoint. Secondary Objective: • Document the business unit network performance requirements, employee/workstation count and locations, employee work schedule (remote/hybrid/on-site), location and status of the main distribution frame (MDF) and all intermediate distribution frames (IDFs), and current use of wireless, for each site. Items to be evaluated including the wiring closets may include things such as: • Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) model, condition, load, age, asset tag #/serial number (if available/visible) • Closet condition/ housekeeping/ access control method • Cable type on site • Cable management • Rack elevations and available space • Wireless heat map • Employee count and location of workstation • Wireless access point model and location • Cable dependent devices
