Specifications include, but are not limited to: The CalSTRS Release and Environment Management team: • Provides guidance and support to development and test resources in utilizing appropriate release methodologies. • Migrates components to the System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production (PROD) environments. • Coordinates, prepares and disburses timely release notifications to effectively communicate scheduled production migrations. • Maintains artifacts and documents of activities and approvals, for traceability of the ‘end to end’ process, from the initial user request to technical Post Implementation Verification (PIV). • Manages and coordinates requests to refresh shared (SIT and UAT) mainframe and SQL databases. • Provisions and configures IIS websites for CalSTRS custom web applications. • Administers Azure DevOPS, for source code branching, creating builds, deploying code and managing security access. • Manage DevOPS and processes in AWS. • Builds, deploys and manages applications in Azure Cloud. • Manages the https security certificates and licenses for 3rd party software that supports CalSTRS web applications. • Participates in development and review of deliverable documents to comply with CalSTRS Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Methodologies. 1. Contractor shall perform the following Release and Environment management activities, including but not limited to: a) Perform analysis on troubleshooting and production changes to determine system and performance impact. b) Review and approve build and deployment requests submitted as part of releases. c) Provision and configure Internet Information Services (IIS) websites in test and production environments. d) Perform build and deployments and configuration of C#.Net code to test and production environments. e) Perform build and deployments of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud development to test and production environments. f) Perform build and deployments of Data analytics Extract-Transform-Load scripts and pipelines to test and production environments. g) Perform build and deployments of Business Intelligence dashboards (e.g., MS Power BI) to test and production. h) Use tools (e.g., Postman) to troubleshoot distributed application environments. i) Create PowerShell scripts to automate common tasks. j) Participate in quality assurance of technical specifications, test documentation, and code. 2. Contractor shall perform the following Team Foundation Server (TFS) Administrator activities, including but not limited to: a) Create and manage new branches related to releases. b) Administer source code branching/merging. c) Create builds of CalSTRS’ custom web applications in TFS. d) Deploy code to test and production environments. e) Administer and monitor permissions and security access for TFS
