Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. All work shall be performed within the designated routes on VDOT maintained right-of-way. 2. All sweeping operations shall take place during Day Time hours (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) Monday through Friday. 3. Sweeping operations will be limited to one side of the roadway at any given time. The sweepers shall sweep only in the direction of the traffic. Sweeping operations will require one (1) sweeper operating on all routes with available dump trucks for hauling of disposal material. 4. The Contractor shall provide sufficient equipment and crew to perform any required manual (non-mechanical) sweeping operation that may be required to remove excessive debris in locations such as, but not limited to concrete medians including the top surface, gore areas, curbs, median barrier walls or other raised structures. 5. Large debris and dead animal removal is not part of the required services, although shall be removed off of the roadway surface under this contract to allow for disposal by others. Contractor shall notify the VDOT Contract Administrator, or designee, with the location and type of large debris that has been moved off of the roadway.
