Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Section specifies the labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for the demolition, and disposal of all structures, building materials, equipment, and accessories to be removed as specified herein. A. Provide all equipment, materials, labor, and supervision to complete demolition, removal, and disposal of all above-ground structure materials at 3239 Rolling Road, 3247 Rolling Road, and 2941 Rolling Road, Scottsville, Virginia. B. All material, equipment, rubble, debris, and other products of the demolition shall become the property of the Contractor for their disposal off-site in accordance with all applicable laws and ordinances. C. The Contractor shall examine the various Attachments, visit the site, determine the extent of the Work, the extent of work affected therein, and all conditions under which he is required to perform the various operations. D. The houses to be demolished are unsafe to enter and must be assumed there are asbestos materials and disposal will be conducted in accordance with Commonwealth of Virginia requirements and the federal Clean Air Act. E. To the County’s knowledge, all utilities have been disconnected. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to verify. F. The County assumes no responsibility for the actual condition of the structures to be demolished. G. No explosives shall be used at any time during the demolition. No burning of combustible material will be allowed. H. Conduct work to ensure minimum interference with on-site and off-site roads, streets, sidewalks, and occupied or used facilities. I. The County is allowing the Contractor to schedule the work for when it is convenient for them within parameters established by Albemarle County. The Contractor will hold their quote price for the work if they choose to perform the work late in the established date range. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Deviations from these work hours are required to be approved by Owner.
