Specifications include, but are not limited to: Proposer will provide the following goods/services: 2.1. Data Center Facility Characterization • Facility history, age, known operating risks/vulnerabilities, identify single points of failure/reliability/redundancy for systems. (electrical/UPS, HVAC, chilled water, security systems) • Hazardous material identification associated with potential construction in or adjacent to facilities. • Previous engineering studies and/or documentation of facilities, where available, will be provided to assist in the evaluation of facility capacity, limitations, or risks. • Identify major risks, prioritization, rough order of magnitude costs to repair/remediate • Collect and summarize baseline annual operating costs: o Staff costs o Utility (electrical, cooling) costs o Systems maintenance costs • Document a capability-resiliency comparison matrix for each facility based on the Uptime Institute’s data center tier classification methodology. • Document physical data center access control deficiencies for facilities that would likely result in a non-compliance finding with respect to NIST 800-171, CJIS, CMMC. 2.2. Life Cycle Assessment of Data Center Facility Systems • 10-year capital budget estimate for required lifecycle replacement of systems including electrical/UPS, HVAC, security systems. o Capital investment by facility, system type, lifecycle year, estimated acquisition/ installation cost • 10-year costs associated with systems lifecycle maintenance at vendor specified intervals. o Costs by facility, system type, maintenance year, estimated cost • Working with university subject area team(s), develop the rough order magnitude capital budget, including direct and indirect costs associated with the remediation of operating risks/vulnerabilities identified in section 2.1.
