Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Attend a virtual kick-off meeting with Village staff to discuss the scope of work. 2. Existing Control Monuments a. The Consultant shall conduct a thorough assessment of the existing, locally maintained monuments in the Village as shown in Attachment Three. The Consultant shall also identify monuments located within Village limits that are maintained by outside agencies. b. The Consultant shall prepare a memorandum outlining the assessment results and recommending monuments to retire (local only) or reestablish as part of this service. The Consultant shall meet virtually with Village staff to review and approve these recommendations. c. The Consultant shall utilize industry-standard techniques to reestablish horizontal and/or vertical controls adhering to the NGS NAD’83, 1201-IL East SPCS, and NAVD ’88 Datum. d. The Consultant shall prepare a data sheet and GIS deliverable for each monument; see Item 3 for details. 3. New Control Monuments a. The Consultant shall conduct a thorough assessment of the Village to identify locations where new monuments (up to 10) would address areas that lack accessible monuments. The proposed monument layout is expected to roughly follow a 1-mile grid pattern of the Village. Accessible monuments may include those that are maintained by outside agencies; see Item 1 for details. b. The Consultant shall prepare a memorandum outlining the assessment results and recommending new monuments locations to install as part of this service. The Consultant shall meet in-person with Village staff to review the sites and seek approval of these recommendations prior to installation. c. All excavations for the placement of new monuments will be conducted by Village staff by hydro excavation. d. The Consultant shall install new monuments in compliance with NGS NAD’83, 1201-IL East SPCS, and NAVD ’88 Datum for vertical and horizontal measurements and IDOT Standard Detail 226-668001-01. e. The Consultant shall prepare a data sheet and GIS deliverable for each new monument; see Item 3 below for details.
