The Hobbs UC Davis Veterinary Medical Center of Southern California will be located at the University owned one-story office building at 5040 Shorham Place, San Diego, CA. This Project includes the renovation of approximately 23,400 square foot of interior space and associated site improvements. The programmed spaces will include, but will not be limited to exam rooms, animal isolation rooms, step down ward unit, intensive care unit (ICU), emergency room / animal treatment area, pharmacy, sterile and non-sterile compounding, hematology and oncology, cardiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, imaging spaces (x-ray, MRI, and CT scanner), surgery suite, staff offices, staff and tech workstations, administration spaces, breakroom, conference rooms, staff and public restrooms, and client indoor and outdoor waiting areas. The project will also include site improvements and new and upgraded building systems to support the program. The existing structure is of Type VB construction, fully sprinklered precast concrete building comprised of a concrete slab on grade, interior steel columns, steel and glulam beams, single ply roofing system over a wood structure, gypsum board over metal stud interior partitions, suspended acoustical tile ceilings and spaces that are open to structure above. The Work shall include all labor, materials, tools, equipment, excavation, shoring, testing, inspection, commissioning, and all necessary general conditions that may be reasonably inferred from the Contract Documents to construct the Work.
