The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE), Office of Career and Technical Education is seeking competitive written proposals from qualified Applicants to participate in implementing the FY25 K-8 STEM Initiative Enhancement Project through grant awards issued by the Mississippi Department of Education. The purpose of the program is to establish and/or enhance STEM-related programs in kindergarten through 8th grade. The K-8 STEM Initiative Enhancement Project meets Goal 2 of the Mississippi State Board of Education Strategic Plan which states that “Every student graduates from high school and is ready for college and career.” The objective of this grant availability is to provide additional resources to support STEM-related activities that align with the current MS College and Career Readiness math and science standards, including computer science.
