Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide all labor, travel, fuel, supervision, material, and equipment necessary to perform annual inspections of fire hydrants and back flow devices (only fire sprinkler backflows). The Contractor is responsible to submit the back-flow inspection reports to the appropriate municipalities annually, as well as quarterly inspections of the fire pumps and sprinkler systems for the listed SBSC facilities. Sprinkler System inspections shall be in accordance with local authorities having jurisdiction as well as NFPA 25 standards for sprinkler system and fire hydrant inspections and testing. Routine inspections shall include all services necessary per the NFPA 25 guidelines for quarterly, annual, 3-year, 5-year and 10-year inspections and tests. Inspection and testing schedules shall be submitted and approved by the authorized representative of the Facilities Services Department. Within ten (10) days after completion of each inspection, the Contractor who has been awarded this bid shall file with the SBSC's authorized Facilities Services representative a computer-generated detailed report for each building at the site. Fire sprinkler systems, fire hydrants, and backflow preventer systems shall be tagged at the time of inspection following NFPA 25 guidelines. Tag shall include name of inspector, signature of inspector, type of inspection and date inspection was completed. If any deficiencies are noted at the time of inspection the inspector will contact Facilities Services Department immediately, so Facilities can notify the Maintenance and Repair Contractor. Note: All sites are in compliant per code at this time.
