Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Polygraph Examiner shall serve and work at the request of the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office. 2. The Polygraph Examiner shall have a minimum of two (2) years of experience conducting polygraph examinations for a law enforcement agency. Experience shall include, but shall not be limited to the following: pre-employment, criminal investigations, internal investigation, and suitability examinations for a law enforcement agency. 3. The Polygraph Examiner shall maintain the confidentiality of the results of a polygraph examination administered, except that the polygraph examiner shall disclose any admission of criminal conducted made during the course of an examination to another appropriate government entity. 4. The Polygraph Examiner shall administer polygraph examinations in accordance with the laws of the state of Texas. 5. The Polygraph Examiner shall administer polygraph examination in accordance with the guidelines published by the American Polygraph Association of the American Association of Police Polygraphist, if applicable.
