Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this RFP is to enter into a contract to provide: Routine maintenance and support for Vestas V47 Wind Turbines at Camp Williams ((UTARNG) • The Contractor should have specific experience on the Vestas V47 wind turbine. • Contractor should have specific experience managing the challenges of distributed wind turbines, where turbines are installed with one or two turbines at each site, and sites are broadly spaced, such that keeping service personnel onsite or nearby is not practical. • Contractor should have experience working with turbines that are not supported by an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and problems must be solved without relying on information from the OEM. • Contractor should demonstrate at least $1 million in workers compensation insurance coverage and at least $2 million in general liability insurance coverage. • Contractor should demonstrate climbing safety training and protocols, including the ability to perform high angle fall rescue, first responder first aid at heights, and rope only access repairs. • Contractor should be able to demonstrate proper knowledge and tooling to perform wind turbine maintenance including but not limited to: lubrication, tensioning/Spec torque, oil testing, mechanical and electrical component troubleshooting and repair, hazardous material control and disposal, inventory management, and reporting all performed maintenance.
