1. Provide engineering design services for the following items which will be bid in a single contract for installation: a. Evaluate the existing subsurface infrastructure at each specified location and obtain invert elevations of the existing utilities line in that vicinity. b. Determine if new construction is feasible based on the existing elevations and site limitations (e.g. location of storm drains, easement issues, etc.) for each location. c. Locate existing utilities that must be relocated, in order to install a new infrastructure are also a part of the design requirements. d. Design Engineer will perform utility locates as part of the Engineering Design process to physically verify the location of existing subsurface utilities before 100% Design Submittal to Santa Fe County. This will include “potholing” or vacuum excavation to expose subsurface utilities. e. In order to obtain all required utility easements the Design Engineer will identify all properties that require utility easement based on proposed infrastructure alignment as part of the 30% Design Submittal Package. Santa Fe County will obtain the Utility Easement Agreements from the necessary homeowners. 2. Project Development Schedule (Design and Construction) will be submitted by successful Engineering Firm. a. Design Submittals will occur at 30%, 60%, 90% and 100% Engineer Stamped. b. Design Specifications will be submitted at 60%, 90% and 100% Engineer Stamped. The format for the Design Specifications will employ major design elements in Divisions with more detailed elements of each Division identified as Sections. c. Engineers Opinion of Probably Cost to be included as part of the 60%, 90% and 100% Design Submittal packages. d. Each Design Submittal will be submitted as two (2) half-sized drawings and the same information in an electronic format. e. Engineer Stamped Design Submittal will require one (1) set of full-sized construction grade Engineering Design Drawing and three (3) sets of Engineering Design Specifications.
