Construction Requirements: Construction and material requirements shall be in accordance with the latest edition of the CDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (MUTCD)and these special provisions. • Each crosswalk bar: white, 24” wide x 10’ long, parallel to the direction of travel on the marked roadway, as seen in the typical roadway crosswalk figure on page 11. • Rec Path Bicycle Lane Marking: white, height = 6’, width = 3’-1” • Rec Path Directional Arrow Symbol: white, height = 6’, width =2’ • Rec Path Pedestrian Symbol: white, height = 6’, width = 3’-3” • Shared Lane Symbol: white, height = 112”, width = 40” • Traffic Straight Arrow height = 9’-10”, width = 3’-4” • Traffic Turn Arrow height = 8’-2”, width = 6’-3” • Through and Turn Lane Arrow = 12.75’ height • Bicycle Crossing Symbol: white height = 8’, width = 4’-2” • “XING” word: white, height = 8’, width = 5’-6” • Each Stop Bar: 2’ wide for the full length of the stopped lane • Each T parking symbol: 3’ X 18” and 4” wide • Each L parking symbol: 18” X 18” and 4” wide • Speed Hump pavement marking = 6’ at the base as shown in MUTCD Figure 3B-29, Option A; Pavement Markings shall be applied when the air and pavement temperatures are no less than 40°F and rising for solvent-borne acrylic traffic marking paint as well as high-build paint.
