Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Restroom Cleaning Guidelines 1. Restroom cleaning and disinfection must be performed, at a minimum, daily. 2. Restroom cleaning must be performed from high to low, toward the doorway, with dry cleaning tasks performed prior to wet cleaning operations. After cleaning, surfaces must be free of dust, smudges, streaks or residue. 3. High-touch areas and other areas where pathogens can collect must be cleaned and then disinfected, at a minimum, daily. 4. Standing moisture must be removed from floors and bathroom surfaces. 5. Restroom cleaning tools (including mop heads/pads, mop buckets, and cloths) and equipment must be used specifically for restroom cleaning only and, with the exception of powered equipment, must not be used to clean any other areas of the building. 6. At least once a day, bathroom trash liners must be pulled, and trash receptacles disinfected. Tasks for Cleaning Restrooms / Bathrooms • Daily Cleaning (Monday – Friday) a. Clean and disinfect all high touch areas (door knobs, handles, light switches, railings, dispensers, etc.). b. Microfiber dust mop all floor surfaces per floor specifications. Floors shall be swept out with a broom or dust mopped to remove loose debris prior to mopping; check along edges of floor, cove base, and corners. c. Microfiber wet mop all floors per floor specifications d. Clean and disinfect inside and outside of sinks, toilets (remove any lime scale buildup), and urinals to include bright work (sink handles, toilet handles). e. Clean and disinfect bathroom stall/urinal partitions and walls including behind sinks and toilets f. Check and refill dispensers with hand towels, soap, toilet, tissue, and toilet seat covers if necessary. g. Spot clean baseboards and walls; wipe clean for fingerprints, smudges, streaks, and graffiti. h. Clean around all door ledges. i. Clean all mirrored surfaces shall be free from water marks, streaks, dirt, stains, graffiti. j. Pick up all trash, empty trash receptacles, check inside all trash receptacles – clean disinfect if necessary, replace liners, deposit trash at dumpster. k. Replace all items previously removed from the floors after drying 2. Tasks for Cleaning All Other Areas • Daily Cleaning (Monday – Friday) a. Clean and disinfect all high touch areas (door handles, counters, light switches, phones, handles, railings, dispensers, etc.) b. Remove smudges, fingerprints from glass in main entrance way. c. Microfiber dust mop all floor surfaces per floor specifications d. Microfiber wet mop all floor surfaces per floor specifications e. Pick up all trash, empty trash receptacles, check inside all trash receptacles – clean disinfect if necessary, replace liners, deposit trash at dumpster/ f. Vacuum all carpeted floor surfaces. g. Wipe clean all horizontal surfaces such as countertops, desks, and conference room tables for fingerprints and dust h. Place all floor runners, rugs, and mats in uniform position i. Check and clean around all door frames j. Wipe clean all dust and windows on display cases k. Wipe clean all walls and ledges for dust, fingerprints, marks, and graffiti l. Wipe clean all door sills and window sills in all rooms m. Wipe clean all cove base for streaks, water marks, finish build-up, cobwebs, crevice accumulations of dirt, etc.. n. Check inside all trashcans, and dispensers and clean if necessary • Monthly Cleaning Tasks a. Check and clean of all blinds by dusting, damp wiping, washing, vacuuming, or by ultrasonic cleaning machine. • Bi-Monthly Cleaning Tasks a. Check and clean all interior windows and doors with glass of smudges accumulated dirt b. High dusting of all areas which includes ceiling light fixtures, ventilation louvers, grills, panels, etc., by damp wiping, dusting, washing, or vacuuming as appropriate. High surface objects shall be free of dirt, cobwebs, lint, spots, streaks, food stains, insects, etc. and shall present an overall clean appearance.
