Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Senior Center HVAC replacement project includes the replacement of six (6) existing HVAC units that provide both heating and cooling to the building. Each of these units include a furnace, evaporator coil, and air conditioner condensing unit. The existing furnaces are currently natural gas fueled. All of the units are located in the attic space. Three (3) are above the dining room and the remaining three (3) are above the main hallway. Attic access is available through 2 attic ladders. One attic access is in the main hallway and a second is located in the storage room adjacent to the dining room. All six (6) condensing units are located outside the building in the same area. Replacement of the condensing units is included in the project. All existing refrigerant shall be recovered and disposed of by the Contractor. The line sets from the condensing units shall be cleaned and reused. All six (6) furnaces shall use natural gas. The three (3) units installed above the main hallway shall be rated for 135,000 BTU output and 5 Tons of cooling. The three (3) units installed above the dining room shall be 110,000 BTU output and 5 Tons of cooling. All units shall include a MERV 8 or greater air filter.
