Specifications include, but are not limited to: ● Contractor to provide services related to Exterior and Interior window cleaning services at various County facilities on an as-needed basis. ● Work may include a variety of window types, glass facades and associated structurerelated cleaning activities including interior and exterior window washing, and cleaning of associated structures, facades and atriums. ● Work may take place at a variety of facilities of any height, including high rises which may require specialized qualifications for the operation of a variety of facade access equipment. ● Services will be arranged with approval from the appropriate Multnomah County Property Manager. (a) Exterior Window Cleaning: Cleaning of the building perimeter exterior windows shall include: ● All window frames, window sills, window sashes, window ledges, door frames and stainless steel trim work shall be cleaned and all traces of dirt, film, tape, stickers, cobwebs, graffiti or similar foreign matter shall be removed. ● Cleaning of window sills, window sashes, window ledges, interior window shelves, door frames, and stainless steel trim is considered part of the scope of window cleaning. ● Whenever glass is cleaned, the corresponding window trim work (sills, sashes, ledges, frames, shelves, I-beams, or stainless steel) shall also be cleaned. ● All window panes will be clean of all dirt, dust, grease, prints, streaks, and contaminants upon completion of the job and have a uniform bright appearance. ● All cleaning solutions will be removed from window ledges and sills. ● Windowsills shall be washed clean and all drippings wipe dry. ● The use of ammonia or other cleaning agents shall be allowed in solution with the water, but only such materials will be allowed that are not injurious to painted, varnished or building surfaces.
