The Vendor will: 1.) Provide technical assistance (TA) to Maryland School for the Deaf in relation to special education topics including but not limited to: instructional best practices for supporting students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, IEP writing for students who are Deaf/ Hard of Hearing, assessment for students who are Deaf/ Hard of Hearing, and implementation of state guidance to support students who are Deaf/ Hard of Hearing, 2.) Serve as the MSDE liaison for the Maryland State Steering Community for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students, 3.) Attend the Maryland State Steering Committee for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students Annual Conference, 4.) Provide technical assistance as needed for Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and Public Agencies (PAs) on supporting students who are Deaf/ Hard of Hearing, 5.) Work with other MSDE Staff and Divisions to support cross-divisional work that impacts students who are Deaf/ Hard of Hearing in the state of Maryland, and 6.) Advise as needed on topics relating to Deaf/ Hard of Hearing students and their education in the State of Maryland.
