Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Springfield is seeking a contractor to provide exterior surface pressure washing of the Springfield Fire Station #1, located at 825 East Capitol Avenue, Springfield IL, 62701. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, vehicles, equipment, materials, transportation and supervision necessary to perform the service. Caution will be taken to preserve the landscaping and lawn around the structure. The Contractor shall be responsible for repair of any damage to City of Springfield property and restoration of any damage caused by the Contractor’s activities. Only uncontaminated potable water may flow into surface drains. No cleaning agents or water contaminated from petroleum waste or any other hazardous waste may be allowed to flow into the surface drains. Contractor shall comply with all NPDES requirements regarding the containment of discharge into the storm drain system. The Contractor’s employees performing the services required by this Agreement shall have specialized training, prior work experience, or the demonstrated technical skills to fulfill the specific requirements of these Specifications and the Agreement. The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining satisfactory standards of employee competency and conduct and for taking disciplinary action against his employees as necessary. No Contractor employee under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other incapacitating agent shall be allowed on the jobsite. The removal from the job site of a Contractor employee shall not relieve the Contractor of the requirement to provide sufficient personnel to perform the work specified in the contract.
