Specifications include, but are not limited to: Unarmed, Uniformed Security Guard Services shall be performed by location as follows: Location 1: Peabody Auditorium: 600 Auditorium Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32118. This venue could require up to 20 Guards at a single event depending on the expected turnout. A. When scheduled for an event, guards and supervisor will meet with City staff prior to each event to discuss the security plan for that event. B. All events will require a supervisor who will be briefed by a City representative and required to inform all guards of their responsibilities and assign their locations. C. Supervisor will conduct an initial walk thru, prior to the event to make sure all entrances and exits are secured. D. During events, guards will be vigilant in their constant sweeps and observations as well as providing guest assistance. E. At conclusion of event, guards are strategically located for guests’ expedient and safe exit. F. Guards will conduct final inspections throughout the facility to assure no one is on the premises when closing and securing the venue. G. The supervisor will constantly communicate with City staff and will be the only person authorized to dismiss Guards at the end of the shift. H. The supervisor will be the last security personnel to leave the facility once it is deemed safe and secure. Location 2: Bandshell: 70 Boardwalk, Daytona Beach, FL 32118. This venue could require up to 25 Guards at a single event depending on the expected turnout. A. When scheduled for an event guards or supervisor will meet with City staff prior to each event to discuss the security plan for that event. B. Security sweeps (visual inspection for any suspicious objects) will be conducted prior to each event to include the Bandshell building, backstage area, dressing rooms, restrooms, and audience area directly in front of the stage. C. Entrances/exits will be inspected for easy crowd movement and safety. D. The seawall, outer perimeter, Ocean Walk Shoppes entrance, and adjoining streets will be inspected for clear and easy movement of visitors. E. Backstage areas will be secured, and credential verification conducted when requested. F. Movement of talent is discussed with facility management prior to an event. G. The constant movement of the Contractor’s personnel will achieve crowd management. H. The Contractor’s supervisor will immediately address any security issues. I. Constant radio contact will be maintained via radios provided by the Contractor. J. Following an event, the Contractor’s personnel remain on–post until all visitors have vacated the arena area...
