Specifications include, but are not limited to: removing four (4) sets of fabricated metal exterior stairs with landing and replacing with two (2) sets of concrete stairs. Each set will consist of one (1) landings and dual sets of stairs leading down to the pavement from both landings. Also, there will guardrails and safety chains along the edge of the loading dock. Safety chains are to be yellow vinyl coated metal with release mechanism for dock access. All Handrail and Guardrails are to be primed using Pro Industrial Pro-Cryl Acrylic Primer and painted using Pro Industrial DTM Semi-Gloss and must meet OSHA standards. The safety chains, fasteners, and their connections must be able to withstand similar forces as the top rail. There are areas of spalling on the vertical face and the horizontal walking surface of the loading dock. These areas are to be repaired by removing the loose material and patching it with appropriate materials. Once repaired the entire vertical surface is to be coated with Loxon XP Satin to prevent future deterioration. The area where the horizontal slab meets the steel angle irons will need cleaned and caulker to prevent water from migrating under the steel angle irons.
