Specifications include, but are not limited to: Training and Education – to support the community, educational and childcare institutions, and organizations focusing on children, adolescents, and young adults in Ocean County impacted by sudden trauma or loss and incorporate postvention strategies. • The TLC Coordinator shall maintain a Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) Gatekeeper Certification and provide a minimum of two QPR training sessions annually. At least one training should be for youth under 18 years. Public Awareness, Outreach and Marketing – to better inform the community on best practices in the areas of mental health, suicide prevention, traumatic loss and building resiliency. The use of social media and other platforms are encouraged to expand outreach/educate about resources in new and innovative ways. • The TLC Coordinator shall outreach and engage new TLC responders or potential responders for Ocean County, maintain a current database of responders in/for Ocean County and provide TLC information at community events to recruit new responders. Supports and Services – Provide non-clinical traumatic loss and disaster response (postvention) when requested, if necessary and appropriate, following a potentially traumatic event, to the community, educational and childcare institutions, and organizations in collaboration with the TLC Statewide Program Manager and the Ocean County Department of Human Services’ Disaster Behavioral Health Unit. Response can range from phone consultation and support to the provision of on-site services. • The TLC Coordinator shall contact the TLC Statewide Program Manager and the Ocean County Department of Human Services’ Disaster Behavioral Health Unit following a deployment request and ensure an Incident Tracking Form is completed within 48 hours of the traumatic loss event. Feedback from the school or community organization about the TLC response services that were administered should be obtained using the Qualtrics post-response survey provided by the TLC Statewide Program Manager.
