Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The selected Court Reporter must have a thorough understanding of the expected duties. 2. The selected Court Reporter must be able to provide stenographic recording and transcription service for the Commission and to make a verbatim record of proceedings before the Commission, including the taking of depositions. 3. The selected Court Reporter must have a minimum of five years of experience performing stenographic transcription services in court or administrative tribunal settings. 4. The selected Court Reporter must have strong skills in accurate and efficient recording and transcribing oral proceedings. 5. The selected Court Reporter must have strong skills in managing interpersonal relations, with emphasis on the ability to remain calm and courteous under difficult conditions such as hearings involving heated disputes, long hours and close quarters. 6. The selected Court Reporter must be able and willing to take all measures necessary to respect and preserve the confidentiality of information that is recorded on a confidential transcript and that will be kept under seal in the files of the Commission. 7. The selected Court Reporter must be able to travel to hearings throughout the state, at times on short notice and in inclement weather. 8. The selected Court Reporter must be available to provide stenographic services during evening hours and on weekends throughout the state, at times on short notice. 9. The selected Court Reporter must be able to provide stenographic services for more than one Commission hearing simultaneously on the same day. 10. The selected Court Reporter must provide its own equipment, software, office space, materials and transportation for the duration of this contract.
