Specifications include, but are not limited to:The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select a vendor to provide statewide access to electronic information database products and digital resources beginning July 1, 2018. The Vermont Online Library, which will be administered by the Vermont Department of Libraries, seeks to ensure statewide, online access for all students and citizens to essential library and information resources. It will include elements specifically designed to meet the educational and research needs of the general public, K-12 students and their teachers, and those of higher education students and faculty. An underlying assumption is that in addition to a portion of Vermonters who have the means to access VOL resources, every library has appropriate hardware, software and Internet access already in place to take advantage of graphical, web-based database/digital products.
