Specifications include, but are not limited to: Red Clay Consolidated School District is planning to utilize ERATE Category II funding to install up to a total of 40 outdoor access points at our elementary schools utilizing Aerohive AP1130 (or equal) outdoor wireless access points and associated CAT6a cabling to connect the access points to the most appropriate existing wiring closet at the district elementary schools. Vendor is responsible for installation, configuration, testing and documentation of all cabling and access points as part of this project. The district has predetermined the general locations for the access points. Vendor may submit a proposal to provide the access point hardware AND/OR installation of CAT6a cabling and CAT6a patch panels. Indoor CAT6a cabling is to be green and the vendor will need to provide a minimum of a 15 foot black outdoor-rated CAT6a patch cable to connect the AP to the data drop just inside the school wall. Cabling vendor is responsible for installation, termination, testing and documentation of all cabling as well as the mounting of the access points.
