Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified contractors for mechanical upgrades to its Water Pollution Treatment Facility (“WWTP”) Control Building, located at 250 West Allen Street, Winooski, VT 05404. This project consists of upgrading the Facility’s existing heating system, which includes an oil-fired boiler and an electric water heater, with a natural gas-fired system. The required Work includes furnishing and installing all equipment, material and labor needed to complete the upgrades indicated on the Contract Drawings, including: • Decommissioning and removal of the Facility’s existing heating system. • Demolition of existing piping and ventilation, and core drilling existing walls. • Plumbing work for new domestic hot and cold water, and gas piping. • Insulation of HVAC and plumbing piping and ductwork. • Installation of new gas-fired boiler, boiler pump, and chimney (part of existing chimney will remain as a chase for the new boiler vent). • Installation of a new expansion tank and air separator for the boiler system. • Installation of a new gas-fired water heater, expansion tank, and thermostatic control valve. • All electrical work, roofing work (guy wire tie-down flashing), concrete pad work, and initial boiler water chemical treatment required as per the Contract Drawings. • Testing, adjusting and balancing of new heating system.
