Specifications include, but are not limited to: DEC seeks proposals for the following: 1.DEC will: a.Work with the selected contractor in April to determine sites for monitoring and provide technical assistance on the daily operation of the project. b.Determine optimal timing and coordinate the monitoring schedule. c.Apply for and secure a Special Use Permit (SUP) from the Department of Fish and Wildlife, if State access areas will be used. 2.The Contractor will:a.Work with DEC officials to determine site locations that are feasible for aerial photography monitoring. b.Survey specified locations for water chestnut with aerial photography according to a schedule that is agreed upon by the Contractor and DEC. c.Report survey data to DEC monthly at, which will include water chestnut density estimates (% cover and approximate # of water chestnut rosettes) and maps of the areas. d.Consult with DEC officials on activities on an as-needed basis. e.Provide the needed equipment to conduct the work, including a photography-capable drone (or similar equipment capable of producing the same results) and equipment needed to provide the necessary analyses
