The Mercury Analyzer with Cold Vapor Atomic Absorption Spectrometry must include all software and equipment for the analysis of Mercury in water, wastewater, and solids. The Mercury Analyzer must comply with all requirements in EPA Method 245.1 and 7471B for trace metal analysis in water, wastewater, and solids. The Analyzer must employ a chemical reduction of Mercury followed by cold vapor atomic absorption at 253.7 nm wavelength. Analyzer must have an MDL lower than ten (10) ppt. Analyzer should have a dynamic linear range of 0.00001 to 0.4 ppb. Analyzer should provide for over range protection and automatic baseline correction. Analyzer must include a random access autosampler with a minimum of sixty (60) positions capable of holding fifty (50) ml samples. Software must archive data and be retrievable. Results for analyses should be available in concentration units and intensities. Quality Control functions of the software must automate the ability to sequence quality control and check samples before, after, and at the end of a batch. The software must include spike recovery calculations and relative percentage differences between duplicates. Software should provide a control charting function for the graphical display of quality control results. Software must be 21 CFR 11 compliant providing a permanent record and audit trail of the raw data and instrument parameters.
