Specifications include, but are not limited to: This specification covers the furnishing of equipment, fuel and drivers for the purpose of hauling sewage sludge on an as-needed basis.; The sewage sludge to be hauled will vary from 1 to 8% solids or 92 to 99% water. Sewage sludge weight approximately 8.34 pounds per gallon.; The sludge will be loaded at the sludge loading station as directed by the Plant Supervisor or their representative. Sludge will be dumped by gravity into a manhole or sludge unloading station as directed by the Receiving Plant Supervisor or their representative.; The unloading of the truck at the Treatment Plant will be the responsibility of the truck operator. This may include hook up of odor devices to the truck during operation.; Contractor shall be responsible for opening any manholes, vents, etc., which may be required to prevent collapse of tank etc., during loading or unloading operations.; Because of the nature of the material being hauled, consideration should be given to the route taken by the driver, such as rush hour traffic through the downtown area, and special events.; Timeframe for hauling of sludge to and from any treatment plant locations will be determined by the plant supervisor or their representative. This may include weekends, holidays, and nonstandard shifts.
