Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this solicitation is to select a Vendor to provide Orlando International Airport (“Aviation Authority”) with ten (10) Preconditioned Air Units. The sizes and quantities of the PCA unit(s) shall be five (5) 60 Tons units and five (5) 90 Tons units. Commissioning and start-up testing of equipment by Vendor is required to be included in the pricing. Specifications: The units shall be designed to conform to all applicable Federal, State and Local codes and regulations applicable to the location of the installation. The units shall be designed and manufactured in compliance with the following requirements including but not limited to: 1. PCA Design: • The design of the Aircraft Preconditioned Air (PCA) unit shall provide for a selfcontained, air-cooled, air- conditioning unit. All necessary controls and flexible air hose ducting shall be included in the design of the unit. • The sizes of the PCA unit(s) shall be 60 Tons and 90 Tons, as specified. • The PCA unit shall have Powder coated (arctic white) Galvaneal tube frame/powder coated Aluminum skin and panels, or epoxy powder coated (arctic white) steel panels, all hardware stainless steel with approval/Ratings IEC, ETL, UL, CSA. Access/service panels/grates and doors must cover all mechanical and electrical components facing the exterior of the unit. Standard frame that is galvanized and powder coated is also acceptable. • Sealed motors required. • VFD driven blowers preferred. • Dual outlet required. Each outlet shall be distinguished per airflow (pre-cool and aircraft). Airflow must be locked up when not in use. • Bridge pre-cool is a requirement. 2. Load and Mounting Requirements: • The PCA unit shall be able to be mounted to the underside of the outermost tunnel on the Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) without exceeding the PBB design, both structural and operational, and without affecting maintenance access to the PBB. • Units are to be mounted on existing PBB’s manufactured by JBT AeroTech Jetway Systems and ThyssenKrupp Airport Systems Inc.
