The scope of work and design solutions vary per school, but each project generally includes selective demolition, cafeteria cooler/freezer replacements, patch and repair finishes, minor associated structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. Bidding for these three (3) projects will be done concurrently, however, each project is a stand-alone project, and will have its own bid form, and will be awarded separately to one or more Contractors. It is anticipated that a Notice to Proceed will be able to be issued on May 21, 2024, and it is critical that all construction work occurs during the summer of 2024, such that the cafeterias are fully inspected and operational for the first day of fall semester classes on 08/14/2024. Please note that the architectural design team is exploring options to accelerate the cooler/freezer lead times by coordinating with manufacturers early.
