Specifications include, but are not limited to: • EMS in Big Spring and Howard County subject to Big Spring Fire Department-Based Oversight, including: o Ground ambulance service • Personnel, not required to be firefighters, employed by Provider. • Training and certification of Provider employees. • Management of Provider employees. • Provider employees wear Provider’s uniforms o 3 MICU ambulances with branding of EMS Contractor • Fuel • Vehicle maintenance o Equipment o Supplies including materials, PPE, disposables, and consumables o Proper disposal of medical waste o Information Technology • Reporting and records o HIPAA and medical record request responses o EMS reporting, records o EMS billing • EMS Contractor must: o Abide by City policies and procedures • Data collection • reporting and records • IT security policies and procedures • ICS • Perform its services under its medical director • Other policies • Pay City for supplies if City-provided supplies are used by Provider • The provider has to pay to install the City-provided radios in the ambulances. o Respond to mutual aid requests as directed by BSFD o Agree to the terms and conditions stated below or of the agreement. • Provider must not: o Subcontract EMS personnel. • Provider may: o Subcontract other functions so long as Provider requires subcontractors to meet the same indemnification and insurance requirements as in the terms and conditions / agreed to.
