Specifications include, but are not limited to: implement an evidence-based system of care offering Batterer’s Intervention Services for justice involved individuals. The primary underlying goals include the desire to enhance community safety and reduce criminal activity and the desire to assist those with domestic violence problems to enter and/or maintain a non-violent pro-social lifestyle. KCCC is contracting for Batterer’s Intervention Services that: 1.5.2.1. Address criminogenic needs including responsibility factors through all phases of treatment. 1.5.2.2. Utilize evidence-based practices and integrate the model developed by Community Corrections for this purpose. 1.5.2.3. Employ motivational enhancement techniques to effectively engage clients. 1.5.2.4. Have implemented a client fee system to support the costs of these services and demonstrate the ability to collect third party payments when available. 1.5.2.5. Include relapse prevention services and aftercare services as a part of outpatient intervention services. 1.5.2.6. Include trauma informed services and practices. 1.5.2.7. Include Risk Assessments utilizing Risk, Need and Responsivity. 1.5.2.8. Integrate the use of Core Correctional Practices in delivery of needed services.
