Specifications include, but are not limited to: 11.1.2. Professional Development training for staff of funded agencies/organizations: 11.1.2.1. For example, Tableau and other training to equip county and tribal staff to refine, share, and present their own data with partners and the public. 11.1.2.2. Funding may be used to train employees but not volunteers. 11.1.2.3. Professional development training proposals will require a needs justification document. Needs Justification can be submitted via Exhibit Four (4) Training/Training Event Summary. 11.2. Project Two (2) Training Events: Funding shall be used for collaborative, in-state events such as convenings, professional development conferences, and other events designed to foster collaboration and learning around suicide prevention and target populations: 11.2.1. Funded events shall be open to the public unless specific justification is provided (i.e. tribal events, Lived Experience events). 11.3. Project Three (3) Logistical Support and Capacity Building: 11.3.1. Capacity Building support includes anything that increases staff and organizational capacity to do suicide prevention work that meets the needs of the populations they serve, including but not limited to: 11.3.1.1. Building skills of staff. 11.3.1.2. Providing training for new staff. 11.3.1.3. Creating manuals, policies, and internal procedural document. 11.3.1.4. Data collection or data management systems, including software and training. 11.3.2. Can include funds for the following and other operational support expenses: 11.3.2.1. Office supplies. 11.3.2.2. Program supplies (e.g. books, printouts, or other training curriculum materials that support trainees in learning the content). 11.3.2.3. Software licensing renewals (i.e. GIS, Adobe, Tableau). 11.3.2.4. Website improvements. 11.3.2.5. Other operational support expenses.
