Specifications include, but are not limited to: Expertise in unique public higher education sustainability Expertise with engaging stakeholders Understanding of “best practices” around higher education sustainability Objectives/Goals Deliverable(s) resulting from formal engagement with Successful Offeror shall include a comprehensive written report addressing in detail each of the following elements. Before phase one and two, the firm will indicate their plan to research and review existing plans and documents to determine best practices, such as from peer institutions. This task will produce a Sustainability Literature Review and Benchmarking Analysis to support the project. The first phase of the project is a greenhouse gas inventory. Firm will calculate EKU’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions based on an agreed upon data year. Once data is provided, the firm will complete the first phase in 3-4 weeks. This phase will be completed in fiscal year 24. The final deliverable of the first phase will be an excel calculation workbook that shows emission summaries along with summaries for reducing the emissions. The second phase of the project involves implementing these reduction plans with the direct help from the firm. The firm will complete this second phase in fiscal year 25, starting in August and reaching completion in 6-8 months. This task will primarily involve a cost-benefit analysis; GHG reduction calculation; implementation plan for each initiative; and final report. The firm will outline other components of this phase in their proposal such as incorporating community and stakeholder engagement.
