Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Tree Removal: • The successful bidder will undertake the removal of 175 medium to large trees within Stodden Park. • Primarily located within the Highland View Golf Course section, tree removal must be conducted during the golf off-season (approximately November through April). • All tree removal operations must be completed by November 30th, 2028, adhering to the specified timeline. 2. Debris Removal & Disposal: • In addition to tree removal, the successful bidder is responsible for the comprehensive removal of all debris generated from the tree removal activities. • This encompasses branches, trunks, stumps, and any sawdust piles produced by chainsaws or other equipment. • Wood chips may be distributed to designated areas within Stodden Park, as directed by the BSB Urban Forester, for landscaping purposes. • All remaining debris must be promptly cleared from the site and disposed of at the Butte-Silver Bow Landfill. • Alternative disposal options, such as donation of logs or dumping at other locations, may be considered upon approval by the BSB Urban Forester. • All debris removal & disposal operations must be completed by November 30th, 2028, adhering to the specified timeline. 3. Stump Removal: • Many stumps resulting from tree removal will only require cutting to ground level. • In cases where replanting is required at the exact stump location, stump grinding, or complete excavation will be necessary. • The methods of stump removal (grinding or excavation) are at the discretion of the successful bidder. 4. Safety Measures: • The contractor must strictly adhere to all ANZI Z133 safety protocols and industry standards during tree removal operations. • Measures will be implemented to ensure the safety of park visitors and adjacent properties throughout the tree removal activities. 5. Restoration and Repair: • The successful bidder is responsible for the restoration and repair of any damage incurred to turf, sprinkler systems, remaining trees, or other landscaping features during tree removal and associated activities. • Turf damaged during tree removal operations must be repaired to its original condition, including reseeding, sod replacement, or any other necessary measures. • Any disruption or damage to sprinkler systems must be promptly repaired to ensure proper functioning. • Care must be taken to avoid damage to remaining trees and surrounding landscaping features during tree removal and debris disposal. Any accidental damage must be repaired or mitigated. • The contractor shall ensure that all restoration and repair work is completed to the satisfaction of the BSB Urban Forester and in accordance with the standards of Stodden Park.
