The scope of the project is to develop a multi-use outdoor athletic facility with a synthetic play surface that would enable higher levels of all-weather programming. The project would convert the existing natural grass Hutchison field to a synthetic turf surface field with multiple sports, fencing, restroom/storage building and connection to Bicycle Track. Design Professional will provide preliminary design services, the preparation of construction documents and bidding and construction administration support services for conversion of Hutchison natural grass turf to a synthetic field. The University is seeking a design team that will form a creative partnership with the campus to create a state of the art sports complex responsive to the requirements of the program while meeting stringent budget, schedule and life cycle cost goals. Relevant qualifications shall include extensive and proven experience in designing sports complexes with construction costs in excess of $2 million, preferably in a University environment. Firms must demonstrate their history in meeting project budgets and schedules and their ability to provide effective and experienced support during the construction administration phase.
