Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Vendor Management Advisor (Contractor) shall be primarily managed by and work directly with the CalSTRS Pension Solution (PS) Project Director on a “day-to-day” basis. However, the Contractor shall bring their own expertise as a vendor manager, having worked on larger enterprise projects, to work with a key vendor to help sustain productive behavior, provide incremental improvements on an on-going basis, and seek beneficial outcomes overall. Contractor shall also report periodically to the PS Project co-sponsors (i.e., the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and the Benefits and Services Executive Officer (BSEO)), and the Executive Steering Committee (ESC) whenever necessary or requested. The Contractor will support the project tasks and activities related to the Pension Solution projects at all levels. The Contractor will work with CalSTRS executives to provide continuity between identified business objectives and the outcome of the projects, engage with project staff, manage vendors, improve the projects’ tactical performance, and implement experienced-based implementation strategies. Experience with successfully drafting and managing performance plans for vendors, against objective key performance indicators, is expected.
