Specifications include, but are not limited to: For any live (in-person) auctions, the Contractor must furnish one or more auctioneers qualified to stimulate bidding and obtain maximum bidder participation, one or more clerks qualified to manage all administrative and accounting tasks, and one or more laborers or other personnel to handle logistical problems that may be encountered on the sale day, if and as needed. For any on-site, live auctions, the Contractor must furnish a mobile public address system with volume adequate for the sale location to facilitate the auctioneer’s movemnet among the sale items rather than bringing the items to the auctioneer. For any online auctions, the Contractor must utilize a website with adequate security, reliability, and ease of use. The Contractor shall be responsible for any misunderstanding or confusion resulting from the auction and/or sale of any property. The Contractor must perform all clerical tasks, including registration of bidders, recording of successful bids, receipts for payments and accounting for monies collected. The Contractor must provide the City with complete records of all transaction to include identification of the property sold, the name and mailing address of the successful bidder, and the sale amount. The Contractor must separately provide the City with a sales reconciliation to include gross sale proceeds, auctions costs and expenses, and the net proceeds due to the City.
