Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Housing department requires professional consulting services from highly skilled, experienced, and diverse firm(s) or individual(s) to develop two housing dashboards to compile, analyze, export, and monitor data from a variety of sources. Wake County will provide a Project Leadership Team (“Team”), composed of key staff and stakeholders. The Team will provide project oversight and guidance and will serve as the primary point of contact. 2.1 Purpose The purpose of obtaining dashboards is to examine housing market and homelessness trends, identify local disproportionalities, assess system performance, and advocate for resources. This will enable Housing staff to quickly capture multiple data points for analysis of current market or system inequities. Comprehensive data dashboards with well-defined metrics will allow staff and stakeholders to have instant access to key indicators, depicting overall trends and individual data points to support recommended actions addressing housing affordability and homelessness. 2.2 Desired Product Housing seeks to develop two web-based dashboards that will enable the tracking of housing market, demographic, economic and housing affordability indicators. Data sets should include national, regional, and local information which blend both publicly available and/or proprietary data sources to reflect the unique economic, demographic and market conditions of jurisdictions. The interface will have an internal dashboard and a publicly accessible dashboard. The internal dashboard should resource County staff to analyze data and advocate for various housing affordability strategies. The external dashboard should allow all Wake County residents to gain a shared understanding of housing trends and challenges at varying geographic levels. Users will be capable of analyzing and comparing housing needs in the context of statewide, regional, and municipal trends. Ability to track information over customizable time periods is desired.
