Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The existing asphalt shingle and rubber membrane roof systems shall be removed down to existing roof deck. Contractor option to core existing roof, do not penetration through exposed interior / soffit decking. 2. The existing copper flashing at chimneys, ridges, and valleys shall be removed. 3. Clean existing organic growth from existing stone chimney. Tuckpoint chimney to provide water tight condition. Repair chimney crown and provide new chimney crown paint applied sealer. Provide application of breathable sealer to limestone / mortar, coordinate final sealing product with Parks Staff. 4. The existing damaged rake board on the North side of the North-most addition shall be removed (refer to Image 1 and Image 2). 5. Existing exposed fasteners on underside of exposed roof deck soffit shall be cut / pulled. 6. Install new exterior-rated #1 Douglas Fir rake board where removed, pre-paint to match existing. 7. Install new perimeter wood nailer board ripped to 1” x 3.5” actual dimensions, including at fascia, ridges, and chimneys. 8. One layer of 1-inch Securshield polyiso will be mechanically fastened to the wood deck, fasteners used shall limit their depth so as not to appear on underside of eave or ceiling. 9. A new, fully adhered 60-mil polyester-reinforced black EPDM system will be installed with all flashings completed per manufacturer’s standard details. 10. New prefinished steel metal edges and counterflashing at chimneys, shall be shop fabricated and installed per EPDM mfr requirements. 11. Install a new galvalume paint grip T-style drip edge onto existing fascia and rake edges and strip into the new roof. 12. A 20-year manufacturer’s warranty, and a 2-year workmanship warranty are both required for this project.
