Specifications include, but are not limited to: RBOC Sustainability Planning. The awarded firm will be expected to guide the RBOC in the development and implementation of a Campus Sustainability Plan (CSP) and associated policies and procedures. Successful elements of the CSP might include elements associated with pursuit of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris Agreement, and the Green Sports Alliance Play to Zero among other considerations. Event Sustainability Planning and Implementation. The awarded firm will develop and implement plans relative to management of all waste types produced leading up to, and during, events hosted on the Rose Bowl Campus. The Rose Bowl Campus hosts a variety of events including, but not limited to, concerts, NCAA Division I college football, music festivals, and professional soccer. The Rose Bowl Stadium will also serve as a competition site for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games. The awarded firm will work with RBOC Campus partners to implement elements of the campus sustainability plan. RBOC Campus partners include, but are not limited to clients/tenants, concessionaire, custodial services provider, golf course management, multi-media rights holder, and refuse hauler. The Rose Bowl Campus encompasses all areas of the Brookside Golf Course, Rose Bowl Stadium, surface parking areas immediately surrounding the stadium (Lot CH, B, D, F, K, and M). On select event days, its area of control extends to Area H, Lot I, and the Ball Diamonds at Brookside Park. See Attachment entitled “RBOC Area” for a detailed map. Waste Management. The awarded firm will assist the RBOC in developing and implementing plans related to waste management leading up to, and during, event days, as assigned. Events on the RBOC Campus produce a wide range of waste including construction waste, durable goods waste, electronic waste, durable goods, and organics waste. Construction Waste. On occasion, events on the Rose Bowl Campus might produce construction waste, yielding materials such as wood, metal, drywall, and plastics. The awarded firm will develop and implement plans specific to disposal of construction waste by way of considering reuse opportunities, and if necessary, recycling, or other environmentally compliant ways of disposal...
