All questions and requests for clarification must be submitted online through the Pennbid system. The work under this contract consists of demolition and disposal of 5 (five) positive displacement (PD) blowers including air piping and valves and installation of 10 (ten) new PD blowers with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and associated air piping and valves, including electrical work. Except for blower and starter panel demolition, no changes to the existing blowers building are currently proposed. The new blowers will be placed on 5 (five) concrete pedestals located at the following locations within the existing wastewater treatment process: Equalization (EQ) Tank (T-30) – 2 blowers. Offline EQ Tanks (T-31, 32, 33) – 3 blowers. Grit Building – 2 blowers. Activated Sludge Tanks (T-3 & T-4) – 2 blowers. Denitrification Tanks (T-11 & T-12) – 2 blowers. The present work includes installation of motorized butterfly valves, DO and ORP probes within the existing treatment basins. The work under this contract excludes air diffuser replacement, process control, and PLC/SCADA programming. The process control and the programming portion of the work will be performed under a different contract that will require active coordination with the SCADA integration during the project. The Borough uses Keystone Engineering Group (Keystone), located in Malvern, PA, as their SCADA and electrical engineering consultant. The Contractor shall coordinate all SCADA integration efforts with Keystone. To facilitate this coordination, mandatory meetings will be scheduled during the length of the project recurring every 2 weeks.
